About Michele Lair

Over 33 years of HR experience. Worked 20+ years within a large military organization where I gained considerable experience in Human Resources Generalist and Management level positions. I began my career in HR in 1991 and advanced through positions of increased authority and decision-making in the Federal Government with the final position as the Deputy Director of Human Resources from 2003 - 2009 in the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. In 2009 I pursued opportunities outside of the Federal Government and accepted a position with HB Management Group and Kleen-Tech Services, LLC as the Director of Human Resources overseeing HR management for over 2100 employees. In 2015 I was promoted into the position of Director of HR and Payroll overseeing both Human Resources and Payroll Departments for Kleen-Tech Services. In 2023 returned to HR in the federal government as an HR Manager supporting the Colorado National Guard’s full-time force in various HR specialties. Specialties: HR management and leadership, HR strategic planning, staffing recruitment and placement, employee relations, benefits and retirements, position classification, union negotiations, performance management, complex human resources program management, interpretation of federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies development and interpretation, budget management and compliance
