About Michele Scagliola

Michele Scagliola is a Ph.D. in Information Engineering and he previously obtained a MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the Politecnico of Bari, Italy.The scientific career of Michele started in the fied of Information Hiding and Image Watermarking, that were the topic of his Ph.D. dissertation. In 2010, when he joined Aresys, he moved his interest to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and he has been involved in various contracts with the European Space Agency (ESA).In 2022 he moved to RHEA Group where he is currently involved in the CSC4 Expansion Missions Expert Support Services (CEMESS), which is aimed at providing support activities covering different phases (B2/C/D/E1) of the following 5 Copernicus Expansion Missions: CHIME, CIMR, CRISTAL, LSTM and ROSE-L. Support activities are mainly focused to the definition of L2 products, definition and development of the corresponding algorithms, as well as the preparation of the necessary framework for the calibration and validation of the missions and products. Specialties: SAR altimetry, SAR processing, SAR simulation, Calibration, Technical Feasibility analysis, Research development.
