Managed a team of 15 analytical scientists in Microscopy (SEM, TEM, OM) and XRD (SAXS, WAXS) expertise area. Responsible for resource planning, people development, analytical infrastructure and lab organization. Prepared and fully implemented a relocation of the team, including all high-end equipment, to the new DSM Building. Selected and hired new candidates for open vacancies. Developed people in the way-of-working of a project organization within the new DSM Materials Science Center.

DSM Resolve is a competence center that offers R&D support for products and processes based on Analytical Sciences. The analytical facilities are equipped with an impressive diversity and the latest high-end analytical equipment. We draw upon our long-term partnerships with customers and specialists to find the right answers for technical problems. DSM Resolve is a Service Unit of Royal DSM with a broad external customer network and partnerships. During these years my responsibility was to shape and manage the analytical programs for several key accounts and to optimize and strengthen the relationship with these external parties. This includes both offering short term analytical services as well as developing new analytical methodologies or competences to be able to cover their long term needs. As program manager I shaped the multi-years joint analytical competence development portfolio between the third parties and DSM Resolve.With my special interest in organizational processes, coaching of people and my drive to exceed the customer needs, I am always looking for opportunities to shape the organization, strengthen collaborations and create valuable partnerships for all parties.

As (interim) resource manager from the Business Development group within DSM Resolve I am responsible for the overall business portfolio of DSM Resolve, consisting of several DSM parties as well as external parties. I lead and develop a team of 8 persons with a diversity of backgrounds and functions including a customer service team, (key) account managers, program managers and (new) business developers. I am a member of the Leadership Team of DSM Resolve and contributes to several strategic projects to shape the DSM Resolve organisation fit for future. In this way I am an inspirational leader with strong external focus, translating the needs from our customers into valuable programs and steering my team members and department into a highly committed organisation.

NMR scientist with focus on polymer characterization of polyolefins.Customer Focal Point for the DSM Elastomers business unit. Translate the materials characterization needs of DSM Elastomers (nowadays Arlanxeo) into analytical programs and deliverables.

Material Developer of a new hotmelt ink recipe. Participating in a multi-disciplinary project team to develop a completely new printer system and technology. In the last year I was the Functional Lead for the ink development.

Océ-R&D develops new copier and printer systems and technologies. Within the analytical department of Océ-R&D I connected my broad analytical expertise to the product developers helping them to get insights or find solutions to their material development issues. I also contributed as analytical project member in several crashteams for trouble shooting in severe production problems. In my job I became experienced in a broad set of analytical techniques (a.o. thermal analysis, organic and inorganic element analysis, chromatography, mass spectrometry, NMR and IR spectroscopy). I characterized a variety of materials, like carbon black, doted tinoxide, resins, media, inks and elastomers like silicon, EPDM and perfluoropolyethers. My broad analytical interest is strongly focused on being of added value to material- or process related challenges. For this reason building on a strong connect to the project teams to become a partner in finding solutions is an essential part of my job(s).
