Promoted to an Associate on the Audit Planning and Operations team in the Assurance Department of PwC in July 2023.Our teams main responsibility is staff planning within Assurance. I work specifically across two departments within Assurance- Asset Wealth Management and RAS. My day to day responsibilities include updating and monitoring our internal staff scheduling system- TalentLink, managing leave requests, processing overtime leave on the company's overtime leave database, preparing reports for staff utilization purposes and completing the annual requisition process where we plan for next years busy season and the staffing of jobs.I also manage the Firm Study Leave process within Assurance Planning for ACA students on the team. My role involves working closely with Team Leaders and all Assurance Managers to ensure that each client job has the appropriate mix of staff grades, with the right skills, at the right time. I also have regular dealings with other departments in the company and work closely with HR, Students Affairs, STA Team, Training and the Finance Department to manage staff planning within Assurance in PwC.

St James Hospital

Organise and manage the day to day activities in the St James Hospital Medical Insurance office to ensure claims are processed and handled by the team in the most efficient way possible to maximise submissions and receipts for our client hospital (St James Hospital) in the ever challenging Irish private health insurance sector. Liaise directly with key stakeholders, manage claim payment process in the hospital and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports required by the hospital's finance department and the HSE.

Worked as a claims office administrator for Claimsure Slainte Ireland up until January 2017 when I was promoted to the position of team leader with the company. My role involved working on-site in Tallaght University Hospital where my daily duties involved processing private health insurance claims on behalf of client hospitals. Claims are processed and handled by the team in the most efficient way possible to maximise revenue for client hospitals in the ever challenging Irish Private Health Insurance market.

Sydney, Australia

I worked as a medical receptionist in the imaging department of the Mater Hospital in North Sydney where my daily duties included meeting, greeting and registering patients, managing patient accounts, dealing with phone queries regarding appointments and outstanding accounts as well as packing the films and patient reports to ensure the quick and efficient delivery of medical documents to doctors in Sydney and its surrounding area.

I worked as a medical secretary in the National Children's Hospital in Tallaght where I completed daily administrative duties for consultants who I worked for. I also worked as part of a team in the Children's Outpatient Department where I processed and sat clinics on a daily basis. I also dealt with the hospital waiting lists regarding inpatient and outpatients appointments as well as phone queries from parents and outside agencies.

I worked as past of a team in the Adults A & E Department in Tallaght Hospital. My role in the department was to register patients upon arrival, deal with walk in and phone queries and to admit the patients once the doctor and nursing team had determined a need to do so.

As part of my third year in college, we were required to complete work placement. I worked in the National Procurement Service, who at the time were a recently set up unit in the Office of Public Works (OPW) charged with the role of achieving cost savings for the Irish state through a more strategic approach to public sector procurement. I worked as a market analyst and completed extensive research on markets in order to determine if the NPS could make significant long term savings for the state. The two markets I researched extensively were the postal and office equipment market. My work placement in the NPS helped me immensely when it came to completing my final year dissertation.
