In collaboration with UCSD Extension, I've had the privilege of designing and instructing 1 course aimed at microcredentialing educators within the San Diego Unified School District. This course focuses on enhancing & growing an understanding of best practices in accelerating readers at various stages of reading. Special focus is placed on how to facilitate acceleration by incorporating the key instructional elements of providing clarity of purpose, allowing students to do the work, and noticing and naming the work students are learning and using in the moment.
