WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCEMichelle joined the staff at Job Training Center in 2005 as the Workforce Academy Facilitator. She was responsible for facilitating a 30 day workshop offered to CalWORKs participants. The workshop covers job search techniques, resume writing, cover letters, on-line job search, and interview preparation. The workshop also teaches customer service and job retention skills and includes supervised job search. In 2007 Michelle joined the Business Services department as a Staffing Specialist where she works directly with local businesses providing a variety of HR assistance. She provides hiring/recruitment assistance, creating job flyers and job descriptions to HR questions.
