As a Human Resources intern, I explored my passion for Diversity and Inclusion over several meaningful projects. I conducted an internal investigation on our interview practices in order to identify areas for potential bias, then implemented interview process changes that promote more diverse and inclusive hiring choices. Based on current research, I analyzed recruitment sourcing reports from Jobvite, the applicant tracking system, in order to target specific markets. Not only did this lead to reduced spending, this increased and diversified our candidate pool. I spearheaded the software implementation of our compliance training software for two company-wide training programs, Data Privacy and Information Security, and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment, completing my goal of 100% employee training completion within the given timeframe. I revamped the internal Human Resources on boarding process by utilizing Trello, enhancing the ability for a new hire to manage their own on boarding and track their progress, ultimately reducing team on boarding workload. Over the summer, I worked to elevate the TechSmith intern experience by facilitating intern workshops, creating valuable content on resume critique, negotiation, networking skills, and interview techniques. Through this position I learned how to use my passion for HR to drive my own projects forward, how to collaborate and lead teams, and how to contribute to a strong company culture.
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant
In this teaching assistantship, I facilitated in-class activities, created course and test content, and assisted with grading and administrative work in an Industrial and Organizational Psychology class. The most meaningful aspect of this position was the opportunity to mentor students that were interested in I/O Psychology and/or Human Resources by reviewing resumes and providing graduate school admissions advice in order to provide career guidance to students.

Recruitment And Orientation Director
As Recruitment and Orientation Director, I successfully recruited more than 60 new volunteers to join The Listening Ear as Crisis Counselors. Over four training sessions, I utilized social media, presented to college classes and student groups, and created connections with community members in order to recruit new volunteers. I led orientations and group interviews in order to assess potential volunteers' abilities to become crisis counselors. I refined and updated applications, interview, and feedback processes in order to better assess candidates' abilities, resulting in better feedback for selection committee to make more informed decisions. I also edited these documents in order to remove any potential bias from the interview process. Finally, I created the selection criteria for a 10-person committee and led the selection process, resulting in hiring decisions. Through this position, I learned how to improve a recruitment and hiring process at every step, while recruiting new volunteers to an organization that helped the community.

While working at the summer recruitment fair at Michigan State University, I recruited incoming college students and promoted open positions of on-campus student jobs. I utilized my knowledge of each job opening to work with students on identifying which role would provide them with valuable experience and contribute to their ultimate career aspirations.
