Payroll And Benefits Specialist
Payroll and Benefits Specialist working with 400+ employees, responsible for processing of US and Canada payroll both weekly and bi-weekly, annual W2, ACA, and 1095 processing, US and Canada retirement, US and Canada benefits, US and Canada performance evaluations. Submits garnishments, maintains state and local taxing, provide routine and requested reporting, perform EEO, CA EEO, and MSHA reporting, payroll/benefits audits, create and update S.O.P.s and review for process improvements. Review all employee changes made by HR personnel such as promotion, transfer, and new hire to ensure accuracy and documentation. Process all terminations in payroll and benefits systems, provide payroll and benefit related reporting for management and accounting, provide audit support and set up new reports as requested.Manage and maintain all employee payroll and benefits through broker and providers including reporting and manual entries per payroll. Work with benefit providers for renewal and open enrollment processing, employee education and elections. Audit to ensure data accuracy.Engage in 1-1 communications with employees and managers to assist with payroll, benefit, and retirement questions/concerns. Create informational emails about best practices for timecards, available benefits, upcoming payroll and benefit related events, update and promote employee information on SharePoint.
