I am a health researcher currently working in a palliative care research centre. I work with the Wales Cancer Research Centre on optimising patients experiences of cancer treatment decision-making and on a EU funded project which is developing a digital shared decision making tool to support decisions about deprescribing antithrombotic therapy for patients with advanced cancer. I lead PPI on the study and I've worked with the team to develop the shared decision making tool. I am also leading a research theme on death literacy. I'm currently working on a realist evaluation of the effectiveness of GPs working in emergency departments.
