About Michelle Harvey

An experienced events director and instinctive marketer, with expertise in hospitality and retail marketing, immersive and experiential events, footfall driving promotions, corporate events, brand management and event management. Over the past 15 years I've had the pleasure of gaining experience managing events and front of house teams in a variety of settings. I am incredibly proud to have worked and managed events at St. George's House Windsor Castle and am now applying the same passion and attention to detail to experiential retail or brand campaigns. Having managed large teams of agency staff and suppliers I have a confident and productive management style. I am as comfortable in high end settings as I am Wellington boots managing a team at a muddy festival. I have a diverse array of work experiences and an innate ability to bring out the best in those working for me.

  • Smart Cjs
    Custody Interventions Worker
    Smart Cjs Jun 2014 - Mar 2015
    Thames Valley Police Force Area
The role of Custody Interventions Worker at SMART CJS was within a CIP team which operates in the area instead of a DIP Team. I covered custody suites in Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire which taught me how to quickly integrate myself into the different environments and create adaptability to my working practices. On a daily basis my duties involved, delivering brief interventions, offering assessments and referrals to local recovery services and mental health teams. I found the challenges within the custody environment are very different to those within the community. Where I had previously learnt to build relationships on a long-term basis, in custody it is necessary to do the same in a very short space of time. It is very important to within this environment to strictly comply with procedures, which means I have good attention to detail. Within the Police environment there are many necessary procedures and paperwork which one must be fully compliant with. It was necessary at times to prepare legal documentation following drug testing for court files, I wrote witness statements, and requested warrants for those who failed to attend legally required drug assessments. My practice proved I strictly adhere to procedure and have good attention to detail.
