Schema Therapy: This is an integrative approach to treatment that combines the best aspects of cognitive-behavioral, experiential, interpersonal and psychoanalytic therapies into one model. This model has shown remarkable results in helping people to change negative ("maladaptive") 'patterns which they have lived with for a long time, even when other methods and efforts they have tried before have been largely unsuccessful.' Provides individual solution focused brief therapy with people struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, as well as loss/grief processing and interpersonal relationship difficulties. Therapy is strength based and short term. Group Therapy-Beginning Summer-2013: Self-esteem, assertiveness, relationship building/re-building skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. 2014 Group Therapy Sessions: Self-Esteem/Assertiveness, Boundaries with self and others, Wellness, Relationship Building and Rebuilding, Social Skills and Communication Skill building. 2015: New Group added: Working through Shame & Guilt as this is foundational to help improve all areas of life. Primary Focus Caseload: Individuals with Co-Occurring Disorders & Personality Disorders. 2015 Practicum & Internship for PhD: LCHHS Cognitive & Personality testing, guardianship evaluations, assessment, evaluation and integration of information to give feedback to individuals pertaining to strengths and limitations. 2011 April-June Strategic Planning Process Improvement Group focusing on coming up with three proposals for management on combining four crisis systems within the agency 2011 January-ongoing-SADIE Group working with Lacrosse County Coroner and other individuals within the community looking at data over the past ten years of the total number of suicides in Lacrosse County and doing a comprehensive assessment and gathering more information from family members pertaining to deceased individual's history, family history and lifestyle. Looking at suicide as an epidemic in the county and evaluating possible system changes. 2010 January-October Internship in Outpatient Therapy Mental Health Recovery Services. Performed short term therapy with individuals after initial mental health screening intake. Comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and evaluations with one hour of supervision per week by agency Psychologist. 2010-Present Motivational Interviewing Coach Training and Process Improvement group. Implementing Motivational Interviewing agency wide with ongoing supportive meetings and direction. 2008/2009 Process Improvement Committee for Mental Health Recovery Services focusing on evaluating different Evidence Based Practices within Agency with an end focus on Motivational Interviewing,2008/2009 Process Improvement Committee - Evaluating the filtering and screening process of different units within Mental Health Recovery Services

Case Management in the short term crisis department working with individuals 3-6 months or longer. Use of strength based assessments and motivational interviewing techniques to work with individuals short term. Empowering individuals to remain as independent as possible in the community and assess for referrals to the long term programs within the county or connect individuals with resources within the community.

Short Term Case Management in the Crisis Unit.

Crisis Responder: Suicide assessments and evaluation of level of risk of harm to self and/or others during crisis situations. Determination of alternate stabilization placements other than hospitalization if appropriate. Assess if a mental health detention or commitment is necessary versus voluntary admission to hospital. Development of crisis plans for individuals. 24/7 on-call phone support for individuals with a variety of mental health challenges and concerns, De-escalation of level of emotional arousal of individuals in crisis. Assist in problem solving and connect to short term services as appropriate.

JUSTICE SANCTIONS- Assessments of needs and risk level of individuals within the criminal justice system. Drug & alcohol monitoring, electronic and GPS monitoring. Recommendations sent to court & Judges. Domestic Violence assessments and evaluations with recommendations of sanctions sent to the Judges for sentencing or diversion agreement recipients. Documentation of violations and sanctions imposed on individuals who violated conditions of bond & sentence and reporting to the judges.

Long Term Support Unit: Care Management with individuals diagnosed with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, TBI, frail elderly & Alzheimer's and individuals diagnosed with mental illness and substance abuse/dependence issues. Assessment of above individuals with development of individual service plans and member centered plans with focus on the needs and strengths of the individuals and looking at keeping individuals in the least restrictive setting as possible to enhance their quality of life.

Taking inbound calls both emergent and non-emergent. De-escalation of callers in crisis (domestic disturbances with or without weapons present and other crisis situations. Continued radio contact with law enforcement agencies/officers including eight municipalities, Vernon county deputies and also communications with State Patrol and outside agencies as needed for assistance. Supervision of incarcerated individuals. Medication monitoring and distribution for incarcerated individuals inder the direction of nursing staff. Psychiatric transports to mental health facilities and to and from court as needed. Transcription of investigation dictation and patrol officer dictations. Vast documentation and multitasking.
