I started my optical career as a Saturday girl in a multiple in 1997, while studying for my GCSE exams. During my career I have trained as a optical assistant, lab technician, dispensing optician and then qualifying as an Optometrist in 2008. Since qualifying as an Optometrist, I have trained and gained certification in glaucoma referral refinement, post operative cataract assessment and as a PEATS/MECS optometrist through WOPEC. I have been expanding my clinics skills in dry eye assessment and management, including blephex and punctal plug fitting. My main interest is myopia management and I currently fit ortho K, misight and miYosmart spectacle lenses. I find working with children so rewarding and also perform visual stress testing.
