Michelle Perna has over 30 years of proven, diversified and multi-industry expertise in strategic Human Resources leadership including two LLC 's (HR 1 and Stiletto Management - still active) and three positions as Chief HR Officer. Clients include: Retail, Banking, Casinos and Hotels, Mortgage Banking, Tech, Executive Search and Non-Profit. Cape Bank has recently been acquired by OceanFirst; a spring/summer closing date is expected. Perna held Chief HR positions for Merv Griffin’s Resorts Casino Hotels in New Jersey and the Bahamas and for bebe stores inc. in California. At bebe stores, Perna customized HR for retail, integrating corporate/field systems, allowing fast-paced growth/success (she opened over 100 stores). Prior to bebe In CA, Perna was an HR partner to various private, public and start-up companies (i.e. Esprit de Corp/several restructures/mergers/reorganizations). At Merv Griffin Resorts Casino Hotel, Perna was a major partner/contributor in the successful restructuring and refinancing process and negotiated 7 union contracts. Perna also held various key Human Resources positions at Harrah’s Marina and Trump Plaza and served on opening teams in NJ and NV.Perna's degrees: MS/Communication/West Chester University and BA/English/Cabrini College. Perna's Certifications: Industrial Relations/Cornell University, Human Resources Leadership/Babson School-Executive Management and Life Skills Enhancement/Columbia University.
