General translation from Mandarin Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) to English using a Computer Assisted Tool (CAT), i.e. Wordfast Pro and Wordfast Pro Anywhere.

Transcribed lexicon, verified and edited existing transcriptions, flagged out homographs to aid the localisation process of TTS (Text-to-Speech) systems in Singapore Standard English.

• Taught two tutorial groups for a Year 2 Undergrad core course, HG2001 Morphology and Syntax, to fulfill NTU Research Scholarship requirements.• Arranged for consultation with weaker students; directed them to school services when necessary.• Formulated MCQ questions for two online quizzes by observing knowledge gaps during lessons. • Awarded the “Teaching Assistant Award” in the School of Humanities (SoH) for AY2020/21. • Oversaw the book chapter on Chinese Peranakan identity and heritage across the generations. Led a team of five student research assistants to complete an 8,000-word draft chapter for publication by NHB (unpublished). Supervised by Prof Koh Keng We from NTU History Dept.• Identified and consolidated recurring themes in transcribed interviews. Reviewed past literature on Peranakan culture and identity (national archives, secondary sources and academic sources). Wrote the draft single-handedly.• Planned, supervised and conducted interviews. Sourced for potential interviewees and crafted interview questions.• Transcribed interviews and video documenting some events (e.g. Peranakan event at Geylang Serai).

• Wrote local news and proposed possible article ideas for two months.• Published a feature article on MacPherson Lane for MyTurf, a fortnightly series that aims to share untold stories of our neighbourhood.

• Prepared a 50-page Learner’s Grammar draft by examining past Miriwoong grammar and dictionaries. Facilitated English speakers learning Miriwoong.• Analysed learning difficulties of Miriwoong speakers by attending language classes. Identified syllabus issues, i.e. an overfocus on vocabulary and a neglect of the grammar, and proposed a Learner's Grammer.• Organised massive online database of teaching materials by reviewing relevance/date, to aid the teaching team. • Transcribed an hour-long recording of a dreamtime story 5 weeks after being exposed to the language.• Facilitated the Language Nest programme and Public Language Class, teaching Miriwoong to children and adults respectively.• Edited Miriwoong radio script broadcasted fortnightly, to increase exposure to Miriwoong language or culture, e.g. identifying sugarbag honey.

• Interviewed and consolidated information from 7 interviewees. Ghost-writing and editing articles for the first draft of TEDx Singapore’s book: "'Pioneers, Provocateurs, Possibilists: Humans of Singapore" (published in 2021).• Edited around 15-20 articles for the first draft, serving as Head Editor for Internal Team.

• Conducted frequency analysis of individual symbols and symbol clusters for an assigned set of Linear A tablets. Proposed possible meanings, to aid decipherment.

• Taught JC2 General Paper, Sec 3-4 Express English, Pri 1 English, English to Foreign Students.• Created six months of lesson plans, worksheets and an English grammar guide for Primary 1 to 6 English, by surveying assessment books at the centre.

Tutored A level Literature, General Paper (GP) and English Language and Linguistics (ELL).

• Wrote articles for the company’s internal newsletter. Proposed ideas for accompanying photographs in articles.• Facilitated event organisation for company’s CSR, e.g. Hair for Hope.• Administrative work, filing and stock taking.

• Data Entry for Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR) and Claims, using SAP system. Tabulated data by using Pivot Table (Microsoft Excel).• Processed and verified staff benefit claims for IRAS staff. Compiled data of yearly claims, for Manager to review and audit.
