As the Executive Director of the Windsor Downtown Development Authority, I am entrusted with the responsibility of leading and driving the revitalization efforts of the vibrant Windsor downtown district. Coordinate comprehensive operations and team leadership to create and implement various economic development strategies, including business development, retention, expansion, and small business support. Drive efforts to attract domestic and international business leaders, engaging in site selection and development agreements Collaborate with community partners and external stakeholders, partnering with state and local organizational leaders and elected officials. Orchestrate administrative, technical, and professional functions to prepare and implement economic and community development plans, programs and services. Leverage partnerships with Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Wellington Main Street, and other entities to promote business and economic development interests within the community. Guide individuals and companies to establish, relocate, or expand business operations in the community, developing a mutually - beneficial relationship that drives development and revenue generation .

In this role, I direct district-wide strategic planning, budgeting, and operations—and oversee a $1.4M budget. I lead all departments, programs, and activities—including diverse, year-round recreation, park, and leisure programs. Initiating effective negotiation and contract management, I also evaluate and refresh short-and long-range plans for programming, capital improvements, staffing, and grant writing. My additional key contributions in this position include: Grew business with noted (and successful) expedition—and currently maintain 10% reserveFacilitated comprehensive feasibility study and bond measure to expand parks and recreation facilitiesMobilized ongoing Tehachapi GranFondo cycling event—grew sponsorship from $15K to $110K (1.200+ registered riders and 200 event volunteers)

I orchestrated robust and sustainable economic development including business attraction and retention—and effectively marketed the City to potential businesses and developers. I forged productive collaboration with developers, commercial agents, and the Planning Department to identify innovative solutions and maintain active databases of contacts and properties.
