I am a bridge between my company and our customers. My role is to better understand our customers’ needs, and to translate this information into both improvements and expansions across our product line.In reality, it’s a bit more complex than that. Internally, I interact with sales, operations, and our leadership team. Externally, I track changes in the marketplace, conduct research, and interact directly with distributors, contractors, and consumers. My goal is simple: to be proactive in meeting the needs of our customers. This is an easy thing to say, but a hard thing to do. It requires listening, learning, and being slightly—but not too far—ahead of changes in our customers’ preferences.
