About Michelle Cheney
My passion for design started in a hospital waiting room. I realized I wanted to help people by designing beautiful and thoughtful spaces people use in difficult circumstances in their lives. The beginning of my career was focused on project work in the corporate and healthcare sector. Working directly with the end users and hospital staff to design a 12-bed rural access hospital on the coast of Oregon was my most treasured experience as a designer. After that project, my eyes were opened to the possibility of influencing projects through other means - namely design technology. For the last 4 years I have been focused on the intersection of documentation standards, content development and training and the influence those have on a project and the team working to ensure a smooth delivery of a project. While the project delivered has changed over the years, each experience has led me to gain experience managing projects, people and tasks to ensure the best product is being delivered to our clients.
