Onto the 13th year of my tax career and boy, has it been an interesting ride! The tax industry is always changing and developing and that's what makes me stayed on for so long!I have covered different areas of tax compliance and advisory, ranging from corporate to individual taxation, as well as international tax issues. After four years in PwC, I went on to mid-tier firms to gain exposure in different areas of taxation. I also had the opportunities to co-write articles for the firm's newsletters to provide regular updates on tax matters. I was in the organising committee of the annual Singapore Budget seminars and also emceed for one year.Giving training to both tax and non-tax people is something I did regularly in Baker Tilly and BDO. As the L&D Champion in BDO, I planned and conducted Tax Department's training to ensure that the team was kept abreast of the latest tax developments.Moving to MAS, my tax expertise have expanded to the wealth and asset management sector, particularly in the area of funds. I have gained in-depth knowledge of the funds incentives from a regulator's perspective.
