About Michelle Hunter
My passion revolves around education and access to education. I have been involved in programs surrounding pushing for access and improvement to education since high school. At my time at Princeton University, I have had the opportunity to do research surrounding higher education financial aid access and outcomes, and in my brief semester at the University of Cape Town I had the opportunity to explore the intricacies of social protection policy in South Africa and Botswana.I have also been involved in fellowships and internships at Abbott Leadership Institute, participating in programming surrounding their Youth Media Symposium leadership program for high school students at a mentor level, and program management level. I was also involved with Advocates for Children NJ and assisted in developing the special section in their upcoming Newark Kids Count report, focusing on Covid-19 and its impact on special education students.
