Reported directly to the Office Director and worked alongside her in leading the organization to fulfill the mission of World Relief. Served international human trafficking survivors and refugees from over 15 countries. Supervised Cultural Orientation Specialist, Pre-Arrival Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and 7 multi-national caseworkers with English as their second language. Liasied among local and national offices, Social Security Administration, Florida Department of Children & Families, and local service providers to provide refugee services. Ensured core services complied with Cooperative Agreement with the US Bureau of Population, Refugees & Migration. • Provided direct services to 33 international victims of labor and sex trafficking. Managed the resettlement of over 3,000 refugees averaging an annual caseload of 500.• Wrote and submitted three federal and one private grant proposals.• Improved compliance and delivery of core services by training caseworkers in new requirements and procedures, implemented monthly case worker meetings to improve communication; discussed problems and provided solutions; developed team approach to serving clients decreasing case worker field time by 1/3. Improved the process of submitting monthly reports through training case workers to submit their respective reports. Achieved understanding with staff, despite language barriers.• Frequent presenter as advocate and spokesperson on refugee and human trafficking related topics at universities, community agencies, faith- based organizations and churches. • Lauded by women’s group hostess, “The feedback from your presentation was excellent; you were described as knowledgeable, passionate and engaged with refugees. Some of the members said you were one of the best speakers we have had.” • Partnered with the International Organization for Migration to help victims of trafficking with repatriation and reunification.

Expanded Coalition to include over 40 service provider representatives; law enforcement partners, and community organizations. Shared best practices for service provision, raised awareness and delivered training. Provided advocacy, referrals and support, coordinated with DCF, Florida Coastal School of Law, Child Protection Team and faith-based organizations. Fostered partner relationships with attorneys, law enforcement and case workers. Managed budget and reported results. Recruited new members to Executive Board. • Expanded Coalition to include the formation of a Community Action Team and an Inter-faith Network to educate the community about human trafficking and engage community members and churches in anti-human trafficking efforts.• Attained Faith Alliance Against Slavery & Trafficking certification and conducted Hands That Heal Train-The- Trainer workshops to >200 participants in Florida and North Carolina, including lecture, demonstration, role playing, skits and group activities. Generated strong alliances among agencies and networks and gained volunteer mentors for clients.• Created Ambassador’s Program to build a Speakers Bureau for the Coalition. • Providee insight, leadership and vision for Coalition.
