• Maintain life cycle status and product information for approximately 2400 storefront products (including 650 internal product assemblies) and 4000 production components including approximately 5 product launches per week • Manage the status of all in-progress projects in order to source and request new parts, get compliance information, and other tasks in order to smoothly prepare products for release • Expert in using SparkFun’s custom ERP and Data Management software (Sparkle) • Implemented a new Project Management Software while upgrading the development process to better align with the new tools • Communicate with all departments to help coordinate new products moving through the product life cycle including hardware design, product testing, firmware, and documentation • Working with the engineering department to finalize Bill of Materials including verifying accuracy, sourcing components, and reviewing board design files • Problem-solve issues ranging from dealing with end-of-life components, and unresponsive suppliers, to working in a cross-functional team to find new ways to improve processes • Create and run various SQL queries to better understand the current catalog and manage the data for all parts in the system • Identify and define new and adjacent technologies based on market needs to submit new product ideas for inclusion in SparkFun’s catalog • Assist the sales team with information and technical specifications of products in the SparkFun catalog to better meet the needs of customers • Assist in the creation of a new internship program for the Product Development team • Lead a team of interns, including working with various departments to set up job shadowing and training
