After a successful launch of BeThere.org in May 2019, Be There has shown itself to be an incredibly helpful resource for those looking to support someone struggling with their mental health. As Program Manager I oversaw the growth of Be There from a resource to a Program; creating and managing content, building community partnerships, and communicating and promoting Be There through marketing and new educational projects to reach young people across Canada.

We've created the most comprehensive and engaging resource for youth to learn how to recognize when someone is struggling with their mental health and gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to support people in their lives struggling with their mental health. As project manager I oversaw website design and development, video production, product launch, marketing, promotion and evaluation. Since launch BeThere.org has received rave reviews and reached over 1 million users.

As PM of the SickKids-Ghana Paediatric Nursing Education Partnership (PNEP), I manage operations of educational programming at three sites in Ghana. This includes coordinating project activities, procurement, budgets and communications for this long-term capacity building project with SickKids' partners in Ghana.

As part of the "Scaling Up Paediatric Nursing in Ghana" project team, I will coordinate project activities, logistics, schedules, budgets and reporting for this long-term capacity building project with SickKids' partners in Ghana.

I worked on a number of projects for Roger's House and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) including feasibility studies for new programs, root cause analysis of medication errors and a review of the administrator on call system at CHEO.

I had the pleasure and privilege to live and work with a team of Ugandans in Southwestern rural Uganda. We designed four gravity flow water systems in rural villages serving over 20,000 people for the next 20 years. On top of our technical design work conducting topographical surveys and completing hydraulic calculations, structural drawings, budgets and proposals, I trained Ugandan staff in land surveying and GPS mapping. We also trained village committees in basic banking and water committee governance and developed sustainable business plans for widows' farming cooperatives. It was during these six months that my background in engineering, interest in business and passion for development collided. The outcome; vision and motivation to complete my MBA focusing on management in global health.
