I’m responsible for creating an environment in which my incredibly talented team of 8 Marketing Localisation experts can do their best work. I’m the team’s Certified Scrum Master, removing obstacles and advancing process efficiency, so the team can focus on their work. I’m a people manager to 7 team members, supporting them to develop and take on greater challenges. I also step up as project manager and individual contributor roles when needed.

My team of 10 − 15 technical writers created customer-focused content for a diverse portfolio of products, including cloud, middleware and storage solutions. I developed a high performing team to deliver technically complex content, with priorities informed by collaboration with an extensive network of internal stakeholders, customer feedback and analytics.I conceptualised and led initiatives to increase customers’ success with Red Hat products through greater writer awareness of customers’ business goals and more informed content strategy. I collaborated with global writing managers and senior leaders to develop and implement new and improved department processes and increase team performance. I ran the Customer Experience and Engagement graduate program in APAC, giving enterprise experience to IT graduates in a 1-year rotational program.

I led content strategy, creation and publishing for 4 enterprise products and 2 community projects: JBoss Developer Studio, JBoss Developer Studio Integration Stack, JBoss Mobile Platform, JBoss Web Framework Kit, JBoss Tools, Apache DeltaSpike.My geo-dispersed team and I were responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders (Engineering, QE, Support Delivery) to create technically complex content that enabled customers to achieve their business goals with Red Hat products. I conceptualised and negotiated a new content direction with managers, moving away from monolithic guides to short ’How to’ articles, making information more targeted and findable for customers. I defined team processes, generated reporting dashboards and implemented agile project management, taking on the role of scrum master and coaching other teams.

I designing and managing social-science research projects for multidisciplinary academic teams and professional staff:- Authored literature reviews, preliminary research reports, award nominations- Collected, collated, analysed and interpreted survey and interview data- Initiated and chaired campus research forums

I contributed to research tool design, data collection, and data analysis for the Teacher Eduction Done Differently (TEDD) project.- Primary author of refereed conference contribution and closing project report- Received Vice Chancellor’s Performance Award

I generated original and innovative research in computational solar modelling.
