Regional lead for school-based mental health initiatives within the South Southwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (SSW-MHTTC), part of the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health. The SSW-MHTTC receives federal grant funding to support behavioral health resource development, information dissemination, training, implementation support and workforce development in schools in order to strengthen their capacity to deliver effective, evidence-based mental health promotion and support services. I worked with educators in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas to identify areas that have a need for school-based services and provided resources and training tailored to meet those needs.

Senior Academic Program Coordinator for the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Overseeing a staff of 4, I worked with the Associate Chair for Academic Strategies to manage academic operations related to course planning, enrollment, program assessment, reporting, instructional budgeting and academic support. I led and designed the LBJ Faculty Orientation and developed a comprehensive set of online faculty resources that is still in use today. The LBJ School offers 5 highly ranked graduate degree programs in public affairs and global policy studies, which train students in public policy analysis, administration and research across a wide range of public policy areas.

Department Administrator and Business Manager in the Department of Radio-Television-Film. Managed the staff, administrative operations, public relations functions, summer camps and budget for a department serving 1000 undergraduate students, 200 graduate students, 30 tenured/tenure-track faculty and approximately 20 adjunct faculty. The department offers a broad range of courses in the media arts leading to the Bachelor of Science, Master of Fine Arts, Master's and Ph.D. degrees. Consistently ranked as one of the top 10 programs in the country, it is one of the few departments offering degrees in both practical and theoretical areas -- i.e., in both media production and media studies.

Director of the Gateway Scholars learning community at UT. I oversaw the Gateway Program (predecessor to Gateway Scholars) while moving up through the positions of Student Affairs Administrator and Assistant Director over the course of this 8-year period. The Gateway Scholars umbrella encompasses a group of enrichment programs that offer a broad network of support to help primarily first-generation, low-income students reach their full potential at UT. The graduation rates for students in our learning community were higher than UT's overall graduation rates each year I was with the program.
