How does someone evolve from growing up on a turkey farm and being educated in a one-room bush school to building one of Australia’s most respected training and research businesses? It starts with a passion for unlocking potential in individuals, helping them see opportunities they might not recognise in themselves, and guiding them to build fulfilling careers across various industries.With over 30 years of experience in business, I've developed and delivered training programs for a diverse set of sectors, including Government, Mining, Manufacturing, SMEs, and specialised programs supporting Women in Business and Regional Development. My journey began with teaching effective telephone techniques across industries such as NGOs, Real Estate, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Retail, and Beauty. This foundational work emphasised the importance of connection and rapport, setting the stage for my deeper dive into customer experience training.In 1999, I started working with the Registered Club Industry, reigniting my hospitality roots and solidifying my love for the industry. This experience paved the way for a niche focus on Hospitality, Gaming, and Tourism, where I’ve been privileged to help shape customer service excellence and positive organisational cultures.As a Certified Speaking Professional, I present on the dynamics of multigenerational workplaces and serving multigenerational customers across all businesses. Drawing from my farming roots, I use the metaphor of the "Talking Turkey" to emphasise that in business, effective communication involves both listening and speaking, recognising the subtle nuances in every voice.My focus extends to my signature leadership program, Middle Management Movement, and a strong emphasis on the Customer Experience.
