I have 25+ years of experience in management and environmental protection. I have directed organizations and high level projects, and spearheaded major environmental initiatives. I am currently the Executive Director of a national non-profit, the Environmental Protection Network (EPN), where almost 600 former EPA alumni volunteers and a small staff work on national environmental policy and local environmental injustices. While working at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), I co-founded and co-managed the West Coast Coast Collaborative—a public-private partnership that implements projects to reduce emissions from diesel engines along the West Coast, Alaska and the American Pacific Islands; and led a national workgroup to better incorporate environmental justice into the federal environmental permitting process. From 2006-2017 I worked as an independent environmental consultant for a variety of clients including E4 Strategic Solutions, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, and EcoMedia. Previously I worked for 2 years as a permit engineer with the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission, and spent a summer at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. I have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University and a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University. I was also a Presidential Management Intern.
