Primary Care triage nurse

Initiates and completes resident admissions and discharges, including reviewing of admission records and discharge orders, initiating the care plan, completing assessment tools, ordering medications and equipment, and orienting the resident/family to the new environment or discharge instructions. Assigns and monitors the activities of the LPNs, TMAs, and NARs. Conducts frequent neighborhood rounds observing for the provision of care in accordance with the residents’ care plan; addresses and corrects problems as noted. Notifies physician, family, resident, and staff of a resident’s change in condition and need for implementation of treatment and other issues.

Care for patients on the MedSurg/Ortho/Respiratory Unit. Provide patient assistance with activities of daily living, ambulation, and passive range of motion. Additional duties include dressing changes, discontinuation of Foley catheters and IVs, as well as reporting of any abnormal assessment findings to the nurse.

Work directly with clients seeking everything from personal services to corporate functions and weddings. Conduct venue tours and engage in discussions and education regarding catering services, event planning, and budgets. Establish strong office and time management skills to maintain day-to-day operations of company. Supervise service staff and attend to clients’ needs.

Provide direct resident care in assisted living facility and in memory care unit. Assist with medication administration, vital sign measurements, blood sugar maintenance, and Activities of Daily Living reminders. Observe resident behavior and provide socialization skills.

Function as sole sales contact for surgical equipment for hospitals. Communicate and develop relationships with nurses and doctors throughout nine states in the Midwest area of the country. Steadily increase sales numbers throughout this area as well as generate new business for the company.

Perform follow-up calls to patients, doctors' offices, and physical therapy clinics to facilitate the sale of durable medical equipment. Handle paperwork associated with worker's compensation, private insurance, and automobile insurance.
