In my role as Curriculum Supervisor, I have worn many hats and undertaken many different projects to further develop our program. In addition to my work in the classroom, I designed the center website, produced various marketing materials, coordinated staff developing days, wrote grants, program budgeted and spearheaded a year-long process to obtain NAEYC Accreditation, a nationally recognized mark of a quality childcare center. I became an ECE Mentor for the Southwest Regional Colleges for which I coach and mentor student teachers from LA Trade Tech College, West Los Angeles College and Los Angeles Southwest College. I have also created program goals and implemented curriculum changes after analyzing data gathered from child assessments, parent surveys, teacher observations and environmental ratings.

As a founding teacher of the KYCC Children's Center, I worked closely with a newly formed, but experienced team of educators to build the curriculum and program from the ground up. By implementing a progressive Creative Curriculum, we developed a unique educational experience that was largely lacking in the community. We also strove to provide the most affordable yet quality program to serve the populations that needed it the most.I supervised a team of teachers, performed annual staff evaluations, conducted bi-annual parent conferences, completed child assessments and attended conferences, workshops and classes to continue my professional growth.
