Obtained baseline data before restoration occurs in Esquimalt Gorge Park. Data collected consisted of; vegetation surveys, water flow measurements, water oxygen measurements, water temperature and water salinity. Analyzed data using Microsoft Excel.

Assessed the monetary value of the City’s natural stands using two ecosystem services: carbon sequestration and air quality regulation. The City of Edmonton developed an Urban Forest Asset Management Plan (UFAMP) and is interested in attaching a monetary value to some of the ecosystem services that the Urban Forest provides. This was done by inputting the City's existing datasets from ArcGIS into iTree Eco to produce carbon sequestration and pollution uptake data.

Lead group discussions and guided group projects in class REN R 464 (Conservation/Management of Endangered Species). Evaluated student on their interpretation of the COSEWIC process. Marked Summary reports, recovery strategy reports, presentations, mid-term and the final exam.

Duties:Lead volunteer teams, organized and tracked daily work, crop planned and assisted with soil profiling. Delivered produced to retail stores and CSA drop-off points. Other duties consisted of weeding, preparing, planting, harvesting and repairing. Work both in a greenhouse and in the field. Managed the social media pages.

This positions entailed collecting data through fieldwork protocols on a regular basis including sampling methane, carbon and nitrogen fluxes, soil samples, vegetation surveys and water table and water conductivity measurements. Lab work includes completing measurements for soil moisture, pH, conductivity and biomass.
