Privileged to serve NSW Ambulance paramedics and staff as a volunteer ambulance chaplain. As a member of the Staff Health team, Ambulance chaplains are available to provide support both on the scene (to paramedics and community members) and support for NSW Ambulance paramedics and staff following traumatic incidents or in the case of cumulative trauma and personal difficulties. Duty chaplains carry additional responsibilities for coordinating chaplaincy support and resources in consultation with control centre staff and duty operations managers.

The Manager Investigation provides expertise and leadership across the Reportable Conduct Directorate. They lead, supervise, guide and mentor staff while modelling best practice; foster a performance-driven yet supportive culture; and fulfil a broad range of reportable conduct functions, and where relevant, broader OCG functions. Key accountabilities:- Provide strategic and technical leadership, support the Director in driving a culture of high- performance and continuous improvement to fulfil statutory obligations, manage a subteam of investigators, and hold a number of portfolio and strategic briefs for the Directorate. - Conduct or oversee the conduct of investigations of serious and/or complex reportable allegations and systemic child protection concerns relating to the prevention and response to reportable allegations and provide expert guidance to staff on reportable conduct functions. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, information exchange and timely and expert responses to child protection matters.- Provide varying levels of supervision of staff on all work across the Directorate including performing quality assurance on case management and ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met, providing constructive criticism, modelling, training and support. - Provide expert advice to relevant entities on jurisdictional questions and high-risk and/or complex child protection matters, from assessing and managing risks to best-practice investigative methods, and undertake targeted and tailored sector development activities. -Provide timely and strategic advice to the Children’s Guardian, Director Reportable Conduct and other senior officers on trends, systemic issues, individuals of concern, agency deficient investigations, as well as the results of the assessment and analysis of information holdings and other matters relevant to the OCG’s functions.

The Manager, Projects is responsible for developing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating a diverse range of reportable conduct projects, to meet business and strategic objectives. Key accountabilities:• Coordinate and manage the development and delivery of a mix of Reportable Conduct projects, working collaboratively with employees across the Directorate, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve required outcomes.• Lead and oversee all aspects of project development and implementation of a specified portfolio of projects, including preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget and to quality standards.• Develop and implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, and project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues and assess project progress and overall effectiveness.• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout each project and project deliverables are met.• Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and present recommendations to support project delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project priorities.• Provide operational support to the Directorate as needed.Key challenges:• Managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders and delivering on project outcomes within agreed timelines.• Identifying project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities.• Delivering on multiple project objectives simultaneously, with limited resources and tight deadlines.
