Initially trained as an electrician, then continued to progress my qualifications, with CAD, test and inspection, design and verification, estimating, site management and electrical engineering.With the retail background of my apprenticeship, I chose to stay within this sector of the business, however using my experience gained from a stint at N G Baileys, this has led to me being able to venture outside this sector from time to time, venturing into panel building and installation, commissioning, data installations from concept, to design and then installation, into BMS and energy management systems.Currently through Noble Interiors, I am gaining further experience, not in the retail sector, but in the rail sector which is throwing up its own challengers. I’ve since joined 7formation and work on they’re special projects, with all their unique challenges, Sealife Birmingham being a prime example, a trading Merlin entertainment’s aquarium, where we cut a huge hole through a third floor concrete slab, cast a new dive pool all within the restrictions of a pedestrian area and without interfering with the day to day client experience of a trading exhibition. Following a stint in hospital due to Covid, where I ended up being in a coma for nearly 3 months, and a year long recovery following my discharge. I have recently completed 10 weeks working for Orca Oceanic Systems, where I returned to my roots and took up an electrical job, where calling on my vast knowledge and experience gained over the years, I installed cabling, containment, terminated control panels and motors, and distribution systems on a SAT diving module that will be installed on a semi-sub rig shortly. I have been offered to go offshore with the company for the final stages, however I have chosen to return home to the family of 7formation, for more new and exciting adventures.
