Hi and welcome aboard My Name is Michael Watson and I will be your personal trainer for your recreational Skippers Ticket. My story starts In Grimsby in the UK. At a tender age of 15, I started my sea career as a deep sea trawler man working mainly in Iceland, Greenland, Bear Island , and the north cape of Norway. The typical weather patterns in winter are 20 /25 meter seas and minus 45 temp. [Yes, Just like deadliest catch] This unique training along with 12 years of skipper work , mainly dive Charter vessels & river cruises here in sunny Perth , gave me great experience in Shipboard safety and all manner of vessels including large trawlers, cray boats, hovercraft, charter boats and all types of recreational vessels.I have been a Master 5 trainer and assessor now for over 4 years and certified many hundreds of satisfied boaters. My policy is that I want you to have a safe, stress free course with me, even a coffee is included. My promise to you is that after your course you will be competent to take your passengers on our beautiful waterways confidently and safely. I will give you many tips on boat handling, survival at sea that cannot be gained from books, thorough knowledge of all the marine rules, regulations and safety equipment. I will work with you until you pass your skippers Ticket.
