I then spent a period of time as a workplace trainer and assessor developing and implementing assessment tools for their onshore oil and gas drilling competencies. In addition to this I conducted field competency assessments in the Cooper, Surat, Bowen and Eromanga basins for several drilling contractors.I was then contracted as a Well Site Representative for both AGL in the Hunter Valley of NSW and Origin Energy in the Surat Basin of Queensland. -

The role required management of 24 drilling rigs all on double shift operations.Due to the rapid growth of the business and a shortage of skilled rig crew there was need for intensive in-house training so I was taken from the operations role to develop and implement a comprehensive training program and rig ready training facility on the company's premises in Dubbo.
