Last Mile adopt and operate Electricity, Gas, Water, and Heat networks throughout the UK.Extensive practical operational experience as an SAP on a wide combination of DNO, iDNO and private networks across all activities; new connections, diversions, reinforcement, maintenance, tree cutting, major projects.Advanced technical knowledge, investigative and problem solving ability, from DNO, IDNO, and ICP perspectives.In depth theoretical and practical knowledge of testing and commissioning, fault location and repair, including test equipment application and limitation. Experience of all aspects of dsubstation testing and commissioning; cable sheath testing, cable/switchgear IR testing, over voltage testing (DC/AC/VLF), primary and secondary injection testing, transformer testing, CT mag curves and polarity, soil resistivity/earth electrode systems testing. Familiar with a wide range of LV and HV switchgear, transformersand cable types.Keen knowledge of industry legislation and regulatory compliance requirements, including familiarisation with UK-wide DNO/IDNO network standards. Passionate about maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Quality and Compliance.Advanced experience in all aspects of IT, both hardware and software, including systems design, development and implementation to achieve business objectives.Proficient with general MS Office type applications (advanced user), server setup and management (Windows & Linux), database development (Access, MSSQL, MySQL), website and application development (X/HTML, XML, Javascript, PHP, ASP, C#).Experience of electronics design and fabrication, including CAD schematic and PCB design, also design, fabrication and programming of embedded micro-controller systems.A unique ability to bring together a wide knowledge and understanding of various subjects to supplement and improve business processes and efficiency, as well as understand and communicate with other areas of business, such as IT, finance, sales/business development & design, and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
