I am a freelance writer and editor with a concentration on music, film, travel and lifestyle. Currently I have a weekly syndicated pop culture and lifestyle column with MediaNews Group for a series of newspapers in the Philadelphia metro region including The Daily Times, Reading Eagle and The Times Herald and am a regular contributor to Metal Edge and Ultimate Classic Rock. I also do content writing on demand for a number of organizations.In 2013 I was a founding member of the Boston-based magazine Vanyaland, becoming managing editor and then senior writer, a position which I presently hold. The magazine has gone on to win numerous awards and was listed as one of the Top 100 most influential music publications in the world by Style of Sound. Prior to that, I was a writer at the Boston Phoenix until its demise in 2013. Often, I am called upon by radio and television to provide expert commentary on music and culture. Recently I was featured in the ViacomCBS series 'The Story of the Songs' which runs across Europe and in the United States. My first book, 'Depeche Mode: All That's Left to Know About the World's Finest Synth-Pop Band,' was published in December 2020 as part of the acclaimed FAQ series from Backbeat Books. My second book, 'Van Halen: The Eruption and the Aftershock,' was released in the fall of 2021.
