Building teams and knowing that I help people grow in their careers are the reasons why I enjoy what I do. I'm fairly open to connect with people here on LinkedIn, whether we've worked together or not. However, I am honestly a bit more hesitant to connect with those without relevant information on their profiles. A photo would also be appreciated since this is a professional networking site after all. My connections are visible to my contacts, and I am hoping for the same courtesy from anyone who requests to connect, especially if you advertise/introduce yourself as an open networker.

Technical Sourcer, Technical Program Management And Product ManagementFacebook Jan 2019 - PresentMenlo ParkI currently recruit TPM's for our Product teams, mainly for Instagram. The TPM at Facebook is a hybrid role, where one is not only expected to wear the Program Management hat, but also the Product Manager and Engineering Manager hats. I've supported both Infra and Product TPM teams, and many industry Product Managers or Engineering Managers are surprised when they find out that their role at their current companies is similar to what our TPMs do here. If you are curious to learn more about the impact a TPM has at Facebook, I'd be happy to chat with you. -

RecruiterAb Star Group May 2007 - Mar 2010Newark, CaI planned a move from Michigan to the San Francisco Bay Area, and decided to join another consulting group, called AB Star Group. The role here was pretty similar to the one I had at Global Consulting Group, except that the company was smaller. Aside from full-cycle recruiting, account management, and consultant marketing, I would also help out in a technical support capacity such as troubleshooting devices and network connectivity, creating/deleting employee email accounts, setting up workstations, etc.

Technnical Recruiter/Account ManagerGlobal Consulting Group Apr 2006 - Apr 2007Farmington Hills, MiI left my previous job in the Philippines after being hired as by a consulting company in Michigan. I had previously offered our recruiting services to this company, but was eventually asked to interview with them. This was my experience doing recruiting for the US market. It was also my first experience marketing candidates and looking for jobs for them. I was used to receiving a job requisition first, and then finding people to fill these reqs. That was still the case here, but this time I also needed to help our consultants get jobs.I initially supported a team of 12 other account managers with regard to their need for corp-to-corp consultants, and was tasked to monitor activity such as candidate submissions and placements. There was a time where I was also tasked to supervise an offshore team of 3 recruiters in India. By the end of my stay there, I was a team lead of one of our four regional teams, which consisted of 3 recruiters/account managers per team.We were all full-cycle recruiters and account managers. Not only did we find people for job requisitions, we also found jobs for our benched consultants, and coordinated everything else, from interview schedules, training, travel logistics, etc. -
AssociateZmg Ward Howell Apr 2004 - Mar 2006Makati, National Capital Region, PhilippinesI started my career as a Recruiter for the top executive search firm in the Philippines. There I was, fresh from getting my Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, and I was already meeting with C-level folks from our local and foreign clients. I was tasked to perform technical recruiting and some account management for our BPO clients. My searches included junior to senior level positions such as searches for software developers, network and system administrators, Project Managers, IT Managers, Technology Directors, CIO’s, CTO’s, and so on. Other searches involved sales, graphic design, financial, and marketing positions. It wasn't until after my first month that I was able to get someone hired at one of my startup clients, which was based in Ireland/California, but was also building their pioneer team in the Philippines. It was this hire that helped me realize how much I enjoyed helping others get to that next step in their careers. It was also this experience of helping build this pioneer team that made me realize that I enjoy building/growing teams.I eventually ended up recruiting for and managing more accounts, and I ended my stay here as a team lead with two other recruiters in my team.
