This position is responsbile for providing burr free metal finishes per drawings utilizing sanders, grinders, and acid wash-down tooling• Safely and effectively grind weldments and polish all metals• Perform dimensional inspection of parts with simple measuring instruments• Provide documentation of complete tasks in shop software•Read blueprints, perform acid washing, exhibits proficiency with tape measures, and the Labor-trak software system (Not utilized anymore- currently… Show more This position is responsbile for providing burr free metal finishes per drawings utilizing sanders, grinders, and acid wash-down tooling• Safely and effectively grind weldments and polish all metals• Perform dimensional inspection of parts with simple measuring instruments• Provide documentation of complete tasks in shop software•Read blueprints, perform acid washing, exhibits proficiency with tape measures, and the Labor-trak software system (Not utilized anymore- currently S.A.P.)• Utilized the paperwork flow system and proper placement of parts within the company staging system• Perform regular duties in the company's 5S program• Perform some re-work- cutting, prepping and grinding• Perform acid-washing and perform "wash-down" operations cleaning weldments of heat marks• Achieve burr free edging of items• Create finish “graining" as prescribed on drawings, above and beyond expectations• Perform dimensional inspection checks on all parts• Utilize grinders, sanders, air tools, and perform maintenance• Ensure in house job routers are correct and completed• Operate daily in a safety conscious manner• Various other duties as assigned Show less
