Over 20 years of experience in operations management, supplier quality, sourcing and procurement in wide variety of product categories, from mechanical to electrical components in fields of automotive, crane, mining and medical industries.Selected achievements:-8% savings in 100M€ purchase volume within first year -Cut ~95% of variations in concurrent engineering projects -Successfull made-to-order change to made-to-stock with 30-40% costs savings-Successfull involment in R&D projects with design for manufacturing projects.-Started operations in five continentsIn Merivaara, I was Group’s procurement, which is including sourcing, purchasing and logistics. During last seven years, we have achieved major product costs cuts in all main product groups in Merivaara Corporation. These we have done by joining efforts from R&D, suppliers, manufacturing and logistics.Before I have led successful souring organizations, starting sourcing from Asia, especially from China. In Konecranes I was member of the team who started sourcing and manufacturing in Shanghai, China. During that time there were several success stories achieving savings over 80%.In mining industry (Larox Oyj/Flowrox oy) I was leading process of change of single manufacturing unit to global network of assembly sites. Both companies I was also responsible for starting sourcing from China and built their Chinese Sourcing teams.For management approach, I am more of coaching style for team of professionals, but depending of the situation can be confident to use different leadership styles. Starting up sourcing from LC-countries is mostly technology transfer and project management, which experience strengthen my skills in change management and cross-functional team management .
