I am working as a child life specialist at Boston Children's Hospital on the infant-toddler surgical unit. I provide developmental play and support to patients and families on the unit. I also contribute to a soothing environment and provide a sense of normalcy for patients in the hospital.

I worked as a Developmental Specialist, managing a case load about about 25 children. I provided home based developmental support and education to children and families in the Boston area.

I completed my 200 hour child life internship at Thom BMEI, participating in my center-based groups and home visits with professionals.

I completed a 400 hour child life internship at Franciscan Hospital for Children, working in both the inpatient medical unit and the outpatient dental OR.

The Inpatient Administrative Coordinator position is a support role for the inpatient physician teams serving patients in the Department of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. The main role of the position is helping patients schedule post discharge appointments in order to decrease the amount of readmissions to MGH. As an IAC I also support the hospitalist teams with any administrative tasks they may need help with, including requesting medical records and faxing discharge summaries to other doctors offices after the patient has been discharged.

Michael James Kelley Law is a disability firm located in downtown Boston that serves clients from all over New England. My job an a intern was to aid the paralegals and attorneys in whatever way I can to move forward with the cases. This included sending for medical records, speaking with clients, filling out forms with clients, and contacting the Disability Determination Services, Social Security, and The VA.

I held an internship at Cabot Elementary in the Newton Public School system. My job was to fill in where the principle needed help - subbing in for teachers, covering classes when there were meetings, and working in classrooms that needed extra help. I spent a lot of time in the Kindergarten class working with kids who needed a little more one on one help with reading and writing.

My job as the School Climate Coordinator involved planning and executing crafts in local schools. I was also in charge of a specialized group of volunteers who helped me prepare and execute the crafts in the schools.

I spent three weeks in Spain as a teaching assistant at a horse back riding and linguistics camp. I worked in the classroom both as an assistant to the main teacher and as a lead teacher.
