As a Cardiovascular Surgical Nurse at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, I provide exceptional care and support to patients undergoing complex cardiac and vascular procedures among other specialties. I have over 11 years of operating room experience in surgical technology and nursing, which has enabled me to develop a high level of expertise and proficiency in this field.I am part of a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and nurses, where I excel at multi-tasking, anticipating team needs, and ensuring a safe and sterile environment. I am passionate about advancing my knowledge and skills in the operating room, which led me to complete my Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in 2022 after holding a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential for 10 years. Next, I plan to pursue a CNOR certificate once eligible. My goal is to continue delivering high-quality patient outcomes and contributing to the success of the team, while exploring new PRN opportunities to enhance my professional growth.
