Throughout my professional journey, I have accumulated five enriching years of experience in the field of education, specifically catering to the unique needs of special education students. My dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment has been demonstrated through three years of high school teaching and an additional two years in middle school settings. Working with special education students has been both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of individualized instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.In addition to my role as a special education teacher, I have taken on the responsibilities of coaching various sports, including basketball, tennis, and track. The coaching experience not only allowed me to contribute to the physical well-being of students but also provided valuable insights into teamwork, discipline, and leadership. It was a fulfilling experience to witness the personal and athletic growth of my students under my guidance.One distinctive aspect of my professional journey is obtaining a bus driver's license while being employed as a teacher. This additional qualification allowed me to extend my support beyond the classroom, ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school. This dual role enhanced my connection with students and their families, fostering a sense of trust and reliability.Furthermore, I have proudly served as an AFL provider for a 28-year-old adult with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role involved creating personalized programs to enhance daily living skills, promote independence, and provide a supportive environment for overall well-being. It has been a privilege to contribute to the quality of life for individuals with IDD and make a positive impact on their journey towards greater independence.In reflection, my diverse experiences in special education, coaching, and providing support beyond the classroom have shaped me into a well-rounded and compassionate professional.
