About Mike Adams

Mike Adams is an Emmy-winning television producer and writer, and a seasoned media executive.Mike has executive produced news and documentary programming for CBS, Knight Ridder and Tribune. Under his management, his newsrooms won several Edward R. Murrow awards, as well as national and regional Emmy’s. Mike’s expertise is in producing and managing live events. He was the international pool producer for the Papal Visit to American and for multiple Democratic and Republican Conventions. He has served as a producer for a number of sporting events, including the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Fours, PGA Golf and NFL football. Mike is known as an innovator of new content formats. He developed one of the first 24-hour local cable news channels for Cox Cable; and created and launched the first regional news channel, Chicago Land for Tribune. He developed multi-platform content strategies for Knight Ridder and represented Tribune at the MIT Media Lab. Mike moved from the editing suite to the executive suite, working for the Tribune Company, Knight Ridder, CBS, CPB, The BBC, among others. As Managing Director of a media advisory firm, Mike leveraged his expertise to help start-up and established companies in the US and Europe with strategic business and communications planning.Mike also spent time working internationally in online education on the distribution, content development, curriculum design and instructional design sides for both educational institutions and business.
