CurrentConsultancy work has included creating and delivering a detailed Forensic Laboratory Management course to Saudi Forensic managers and Project Managing the Assessment and Review of existing Forensic Science services in Bahrain with a view to modernisation.My key consultancy services offered include:Assessing, Identifying, Developing and Training/Advising on Management of existing and new Forensic Services worldwideAdvising on Laboratory design and function and creation and implementation of new forensic services based on specific needs of customer.Advising on Human Resource issues from Recruitment and Retention through to Staff and Organisational Structures and People Management services.Overall Project Management from the initial scoping stage through to implementation in relation to Forensic Science services and development of laboratories and associated scenes of crime activities.I retired in 2010 after 32 years in Forensic Science including the last 21 years at Executive Management level as founder of the Police Forensic Science Laboratory Dundee (PFSLD) then laterally as Head of Operations for the Scottish Police Services Authority Forensic Services based in Dundee but serving several UK based Police Forces as well as independent companies. Have extensive experience in creating, managing and expanding Forensic Science services and Laboratories covering all mainstream disciplines including, Biology, DNA (including the Scottish DNA Database), Chemistry, Drugs, Scenes of Crime services within a Police/Public Sector environment.For almost twenty years I was an authorised court reporting Forensic Biologist, with several 100 court appearances mainly in the Supreme court in Murder and Sexual Offences cases. In that period, I personally attended and managed the Forensic Science input at several high profile crime scenes and then undertook the Laboratory analyses, sadly including the Dunblane massacre of Primary School children.
