move2nz is both an award-winning website and a migrant community aimed at providing information and support for migrants moving to and living in New Zealand. Following our own move to New Zealand in 2000 we realised there was no unbiased information aimed at skilled migrants moving to and settling in New Zealand. With a strong belief that migrants have a right to unbiased information my wife Tammy and I launched move2nz.com in March 2005 to link migrants together into a friendship network to share information.One of the first social media websites, move2nz.com works to help migrants before, during and long after their move: right through the rollercoaster of migration to help them integrate into NZ society - helping migrants become Kiwis.

SMIRC - a helping hand in New ZealandThe Centre, specifically tailored to provide settlement assistance and information to migrants as a free service Operated for three years until July '09 when it was closed. This was an exceptional place which helped over 10,000 people with everything from one-to-one support and counselling right through to furniture loans and social events.SMIRC was entirely funded by Mike and Tammy Bell to provide a completely free service to support migrants in New Zealand. Sadly this fantastically successful facility was forced to close as a direct result of errors made by a government department which confused settlement support services with immigration advice.
