Beginning work with Fonterra as a site based HS Coordinator, I quickly advanced into the role of Waikato Regional H&S Advisor which encompassed all the usual functions of that role ie hazard managment, Injury prevention/investigation/management, contractor management, emergency management, auditing, training etc. As my career progressed I researched, developed, faciltated successful rollout of a number of behaviour and culture based programmes for both shop floor and all levels of leadership.This was a national role which also influenced our global interests. Initially in 2009 titled National Safe Work Practices Advisor soon expanded to a role of greater influenece untill its disbandment in 2012. Currently I am positioned on the Fonterra Te Awamutu site as a H&S Advisor but also have a role as a national safety systems auditor for the internal Safe Work Systems process.

Hamilton

This was a part time after hours voluntary role assisitng with not only H&S of this icon Hamilton event but also site security, traffic management, emergency response management, volunteer (150) management.

Situated in the Otahuhu Auckland Pacific Steel organisation this role was initially as a site H&S Advisor but once the business saw fit to establish a national OH&S team I was recruited into that team and effectively coached and advised on a national level.

Initially starting out as a maintennace fitter based at the Atiamuri Hydro I soon were promoted into a supervisory level with sole charge of the maintenance team and upkeep of 3 hydros in the waikato system and then onto 3 hydros in the South Canterbury hydro system.

General enginerring and maintenance on all types of main trunk rail traffic. I served my apprenticeship with NZ Railways as a Fitter.
