I maintain scientific integrity and improve technical proficiency at our office. This involves conducting and transferring operationally relevant research into our forecast and warning procedures, training and mentoring staff, developing and implementing learning plans, and developing scripts to improve forecast and warning operations. As part of the management team, I assist in personnel decisions, the office budget process, and award write-ups for staff. As the office Web Master, I have developed more than 50 web pages on topics such as high impact events, tropical, marine, fire weather, aviation, ice storm climatology and DSS to aid our staff and external customers.

I was primarily responsible for producing for timely and accurate forecasts and warnings for South Texas. As shift supervisor, I was ensured that shifts were adequately covered during both benign and severe weather. As the IFPS Focal Point for a decade, I have developed a multitude of scripts, smart tools, procedures and text formatters in order to infuse the latest meteorological science into operations and to improve efficiencies. As the Warngen Focal Point for more than a decade, I developed and configured dozens of warning templates to streamline warning operations.
