There are 2 types of real estate executive recruiters: Those that got into recruiting and had to learn the industry. And those that were in real estate and learned recruiting. I’m the latter having first spent 25+ years in a commercial real estate career that included senior level production positions and executive roles at both public and private real estate companies. My passion for real estate is deep. I came into the real estate industry hearing “stay alive until ‘95” and have lived through every real estate cycle since. My ownership side roles were hands-on “player-coach’ type positions and I've worked in or managed most disciplines including asset management, acquisitions, leasing, development, construction, and property management. Working closely with corporate finance and accounting were also involved. Interestingly, while value creation activities are where I spent the bulk of my time, leadership roles developed my interest in personnel as I quickly learned the value of hiring the right talent.Fast forward to today as a real estate executive recruiter and the combination of significant hands-on real estate expertise and a developed skill and interest in real estate personnel allows me to bring considerable depth and perspective to real estate companies and their senior executives.
