Project Management with full contact liaison with clients and end users including BP, Chevron, Aker Solutions, One SubSea, Technip, FMC. Currently managing all internal & external interfaces during project execution, hosting client kick-off meetings, regular client progress conferences, client and supplier pre-production meetings. Projects include: corrosion, erosion and sensor set and full control systems to various fields and onshore installations including QUAD 204, Juniper, Kaombo, Lakach.

UK based managing specialist design and build solar shading and smoke ventilation projects on both a supply only and a supply/install basis on new buildings airports, car parks, office building. Regular overseas travel and video conferencing discussing a range of topics - progress, contractual issues payment plans etc, project locations USA, Middle East, Far East South America, Korea and Europe. Project ranged in value from small £20k through to multi-million.Regular tasks include use of commercial analysis skills to anticipate and prevent issues with client’s project teams through directing large teams of staff and sub-contractors. Typically including designers finance, QA fabricators, manufacturers, shipping teams.One Project in India the largest private residence in the world I delivered a final gross margin increase of 6%, by negotiating improved terms with a Dutch supplier of specialist harvested hard wood and also I identified a UK based specialist wood machining company reducing packing costs by regular face to face expediting. Reporting to customer’s online project and accurate document management system ACONEX identified additional scope and personally detailed controlled all shipments prevented the client claiming ‘undelivered’ items.I was also responsible for commercial support to other project managers because of my previous work in contract analysis, worked with the project managers and engineers on tender analysis, complete turnkey costings, identifying new suppliers, co-ordination of shipping and letter of credit payment presentations to other and generally introducing commercial awareness through contract and document control processes introduced to the project teams.

This was successfully achieved by vetting project files with an understanding contract terms and passing information and responsibilities under the sub contract to our project managers.The surveyors role included payment applications and costing of contract variations, producing purchasing packages and measuring supplier’s payment applications. Working with the project managers and designers on turnkey HVAC projects in the Middle East, China, Indonesia Philippines with clients including ABB, GEC Alsthom, Black & Veatch USA and MitsubishiMain role was identifying new suppliers of ductwork, dampers, air-handling units, chillers, pipe work which contributed to improved project margins negotiating and placing of sub-contract. This also included regular progress meetings with client’s management team, expeditors and shippers all based on accurate records compiled throughout the project. Proper preparation of materials for overseas despatch to contract specifications, diligent control of shipment contents and whereabouts of each item. Project ranges for one container up to 120 number 40’containers.

Leading team of designers, purchasers and sub-contractors. Responsible for costings, procurement, manufacture and delivery of complete solar shading smoke control and ventilation projects to overseas subsidiary offices in Hong Kong, Singapore New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Providing natural ventilation systems to offshore platforms and onshore terminals, I worked with clients including Shell, BP, Phillips Petroleum etc with their document control systems, expeditors and shipping teams. Responsible for introducing document control and material tractability standards to the project team.

Design and supply of external solar shading systems to office buildings across the UK, I was producing installation drawings (with pen and ink!), project costings and attending commissioning visits.
