I lead talented teams to conceive, develop and deliver experiences for the 2 million guests that visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium each year.

I worked with John Morris (Bass Pro Shops founder) and the leadership team during the construction phase to understand their hopes and dreams for what a guest would walk away knowing, thinking and feeling as a result of their visit to the soon-to-open brand new facility. The messaging strategy I crafted centered on the shared values of protection and stewardship. The mission statement I wrote welcomes guests into the museum and aquarium: "Celebrating people who fish, hunt, and act as stewards of the land and water."

Worked with a talented team of educators to completely rethink strategy and curriculum for engaging young learners in an informal classroom setting while visiting the Shedd Aquarium on a field trip. Using my background in facilitating inquiry-based, self-driven "discovery learning" for children, I led the team in the process of designing each class to be more hands-on, interactive, participatory, and (perhaps most importantly) fun.
