It was Christmas of '85 when dad came home with a Radio Shack Tandy 1000 computer. I was in heaven. It was this year I discovered my greatest strength. Patience.I have always loved building things, whether a snow fort, a Lego space ship, model air planes or software. Computers provided an outlet for me to be creative without needing physical resources and I loved it. Software is a finicky creature often with bugs that can test anyone's patience. Even still, I readily enjoy those moments of overcoming obstacles and seeing creative ideas come to a reality. Since that Christmas I have enjoyed building all kinds of software from my first game of snakes written in QBasic, a primitive compiler/loader/linker in college, and a warehouse management system now powering a multi-billion dollar company in multiple countries.When I'm not being paid to work, you'll likely find me on a road bike around Chicagoland, white water rafting, hiking with the family, or a camera in hand photographing the many marvels there are to find around this beautiful country.
